Kim Da-young Resigns from SBS Ahead of Marriage to Bae Sung-jae

Kim Da-young (김다영), a 32-year-old announcer from SBS, has recently expressed her intention to resign from the network as she prepares to marry broadcaster Bae Sung-jae (배성재), who is 46 years old. According to a representative from SBS on February 11, Kim has formally submitted her resignation, although a specific departure date has yet to be determined. This announcement follows the couple's recent engagement news shared on February 7.

Bae Sung-jae's agency, SM C&C, confirmed that the couple will tie the knot in May after dating for two years. They reportedly met while working on the SBS show, Goal Diggers (골 때리는 그녀들). Instead of a traditional wedding ceremony, the couple has decided to hold a family dinner to celebrate their union.

In a heartfelt message on social media, Kim expressed her joy about marrying someone she has been cautiously and beautifully dating. She reflected on the challenges of maintaining a relationship in the public eye and shared her thoughts on how to navigate their lives together in a way that is considerate to those around them. Kim stated, "We will not hold a formal ceremony, but will gather with our immediate families for a meal. I understand that it is customary to inform friends individually, but due to various sensitive circumstances, I hope for your understanding. I will graciously accept your congratulations and blessings in spirit, and we aim to live a simple and ordinary life together."

Bae Sung-jae began his career as a public announcer with SBS in 2006 and has since engaged in various roles, including sports casting, news, and radio, before transitioning to a freelance announcer after leaving the network in February 2021. Kim Da-young joined SBS as an experienced announcer in 2021 and has contributed to news, sports, and variety programs, also being a member of the FC Anaconda team on Goal Diggers (골 때리는 그녀들).
