Kim Yoon-ah of Jaurim Shares Health Update Amid Ongoing Battle with Neurological Condition

Kim Yoon-ah, the lead vocalist of the band Jaurim, has recently provided an update on her health, revealing a decline in her condition. On April 5, she shared that April 4, 2025, was not only 'Power Bank Day' but also a day when her blood pressure dropped to an alarming low of 80/53, leading her to question if she was a zombie.
She recounted lying down and struggling to keep her eyes open when she heard someone in the hospital say, 'It's done.' Whether it was due to the effects of treatment, low blood pressure, or a sense of relief, she mentioned sleeping for 21 hours straight over two days.
Feeling somewhat better, Kim expressed, 'I’m finally coming to my senses. Maintaining a daily routine is not something to take for granted; it’s truly precious.' She also indicated that she is now able to work on new music and promote upcoming performances.
Kim shared her excitement about being able to talk freely about her cats, her pet Peak Min, and Andre, who is currently begging for tomatoes. She mentioned her recent obsession with fried eggs topped with cheese and her daily apple consumption. She also noted that the cherry tomatoes she ordered are delicious and that she is running out of bread sent as a birthday gift from her beloved H. 'I just want to talk about anything on April 5, 2025,' she added.
This update has alleviated some of the concerns from her fans, especially after she previously shared a photo of herself receiving IV treatment in the hospital last month, which had raised alarms.
Last year, Jaurim's management addressed Kim's health, stating that she has a congenital immune disorder that requires regular check-ups and treatment, but clarified that this condition is unrelated to her neurological issues and does not significantly hinder her artistic activities.
In July of last year, Kim Yoon-ah revealed her battle with neurological paralysis during a Sebasi lecture, explaining that her immune system had weakened while working on Jaurim's eighth studio album in 2011, leading to her condition. She shared that the paralysis affected her senses and muscles, but she has managed to recover some functions. Despite lingering effects, she remains determined to work passionately, often thinking that each project could be her last.
Kim Yoon-ah continues to inspire her fans with her resilience and dedication to her craft.
