2AM's Jo Kwon Takes Legal Action Against Blackmail Using Personal Information

Jo Kwon, a member of the popular K-pop group 2AM, has initiated legal proceedings in response to a case of blackmail involving his personal information. On February 24, his agency, Archive Morning, released an official statement revealing that they had received reports of individuals acquiring Jo Kwon's personal details to extort money from him. The agency emphasized that this constitutes a clear illegal act and is being taken very seriously. They have already engaged the law firm Hoam to pursue legal action. Furthermore, they stated, 'We will take all necessary legal measures without leniency or settlement against any criminal acts carried out with malicious intent.' The agency also encouraged anyone who encounters threats, personal information leaks, or other criminal activities against Jo Kwon or any of their artists to report it to them. Jo Kwon debuted with 2AM in 2008 and has gained popularity through hit songs like 'This Song,' 'Friend's Confession,' and 'I Can't Let You Go Even If I Die,' as well as his performances in musicals such as 'Jamie' and 'Evil Dead.'
