Song Sohee Shines as a Singer-Songwriter on 'The Seasons - Park Bogum's Cantabile'

On April 4, KBS 2TV's music talk show 'The Seasons - Park Bogum's Cantabile' featured singer-songwriter Song Sohee, along with Stella Jang, Roy Kim, and the beatbox crew Beat Pella House (WING, His, Yellai, Hellcat, Huckle).
During the episode, Song Sohee showcased her unique performance of her recently released song 'Not a Dream,' marking her transformation from a traditional Korean music artist to a contemporary singer-songwriter. Park Bogum, impressed by her performance, remarked, "Listening to the music through my in-ear monitor while chatting with the staff, I felt like I was witnessing Korea's Elsa. It was a stage that reminded me how pure her sound is and how her voice serves as an instrument."
In response, Song Sohee complimented Park Bogum, saying, "I noticed that your pitch was spot on while you were singing during the opening. You sounded great!" A flustered Park Bogum replied, "Did you hear me? I’m so embarrassed! I thought it wouldn’t be audible." Song Sohee reassured him, saying, "I heard you very well, and you sounded amazing!" This light-hearted exchange brought laughter to the set.
Park Bogum also asked about Song Sohee's feelings on her first appearance on the show, to which she expressed her joy, stating, "This is my first time back since my last appearance five years ago on Sketchbook. I’m especially happy to be here during your season, Bogum. Thank you so much!"
The conversation took a humorous turn when comedian Kwak Beom's parody of Song Sohee was mentioned. She expressed her surprise, saying, "I was really shocked. He sings well, doesn’t he?" After a clip of the parody was shown, Park Bogum joked about the comments, saying, "It feels like I’m wandering in the afterlife," which elicited laughter from everyone.
Song Sohee added, "I didn’t feel bad at all; I found it funny. I even had a phone call with him on another show, and I decided to let it go in good spirits. It ended on a positive note."
Regarding her song 'Not a Dream,' Song Sohee shared her inspiration, saying, "I’ve performed on many stages, always in hanbok, singing folk songs. At some point, I wanted to express myself through music that wasn’t just traditional Korean music. I studied to create my own music, which led me to this point."
She further explained, "The biggest challenge was figuring out how to balance my vocal color. I wanted to incorporate sounds from various countries while still maintaining my roots in traditional folk music, assembling elements that fit the songs I create."
