Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae Meet with Alibaba Entertainment Executives in China

Actors Jung Woo-sung (정우성) and Lee Jung-jae (이정재), known for their close friendship, were recently spotted in China meeting with executives from Alibaba Group's entertainment division. On April 4, industry sources reported that the duo visited Alibaba's entertainment company located in Chaoyang District, Beijing, where they engaged with various representatives.
Alibaba Group, widely recognized for its e-commerce ventures, also oversees several entertainment platforms, including Youku, often dubbed 'China's YouTube,' as well as Alibaba Pictures and the ticketing service Damai. The company has been involved in the production and distribution of notable films such as 'Green Book' and 'The Wandering Earth' through Alibaba Pictures.
This meeting garnered attention as it marked Jung Woo-sung's first public appearance since the controversy surrounding his extramarital child last year, and he was accompanied by Lee Jung-jae. Photos of the two actors alongside renowned Chinese actor Zhou Dongyu (저우둥위), who has previously served as a jury member at the Busan International Film Festival, circulated widely on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
Local Chinese media reported that Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae met Zhou Dongyu at a café, where the three engaged in conversation for over two hours before leaving together. It was also noted that many staff members, presumed to be filmmakers, attended the meeting, suggesting potential plans for new film collaborations.
The representatives from Artist Company stated that the visit was part of ongoing exchanges with Chinese entertainment firms.
