Hong Joon-pyo Signals Start of Presidential Campaign

He emphasized that there is no time left to be caught up in the impeachment debate as the upcoming presidential election is only 60 days away.
Hong urged supporters to channel their passion against the impeachment into the upcoming election, asserting that the current mission is to build a new nation that fosters unity among the people without conflict or division. He called for a departure from the conventional narratives of regime change and extension, advocating for a completely new South Korea that embodies coexistence and mutual prosperity.
In closing, Hong expressed that he views this as the final mission of his over 30-year political career and has been thoroughly preparing for it. He indicated that he will begin the necessary steps to present himself to the public again starting next week.
