SEVENTEEN Makes History as First K-Pop Headliner at Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025

The K-pop group SEVENTEEN (에스쿱스, 정한, 조슈아, 준, 호시, 원우, 우지, 디에잇, 민규, 도겸, 승관, 버논, 디노) has once again left a significant mark on the international stage. They made history as the first K-pop artists to headline the Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 festival in Mexico, expanding their global influence.

On April 4, at 8:20 PM local time, SEVENTEEN took to the main stage, Tecate Light, at Fundidora Park in Monterrey, Mexico, delivering an electrifying performance that lasted over an hour and featured more than 13 songs. True to their reputation as 'performance masters,' they captivated local music fans with dynamic choreography, seasoned stage presence, and a diverse musical repertoire.

As SEVENTEEN appeared on stage, the expansive venue erupted in cheers, fueled by the rich sound of a live band. They kicked off their set with hits like 'LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled),' 'Left & Right,' and 'Snap Shoot,' radiating infectious energy. The unit stages showcased their versatility, starting with the recent single 'BEAM' from Hoshi and Woozi, followed by performances from the hip-hop team with 'Water,' the performance team with 'Rain,' and the vocal team with '청춘찬가.'

The festival atmosphere peaked with their outdoor anthem 'Headliner' and the uplifting '음악의 신,' where SEVENTEEN's signature positive energy shone through. Members engaged the audience by moving closer to encourage participation, showcasing their status as festival champions. The powerful band performance combined with impressive group choreography in songs like 'March' and '손오공' created an unforgettable experience, elevating the excitement to new heights.

Returning to Mexico after nearly five years, SEVENTEEN greeted the audience in Spanish and actively interacted with fans, who responded enthusiastically. During key tracks like 'HOT' and '음악의 신,' the crowd erupted in Korean sing-alongs. The official light sticks, known as '캐럿봉,' illuminated the venue, while flags and banners with members' names waved throughout the audience. The members expressed their gratitude, stating, "This moment was made possible by CARATs (their fandom) from around the world. We will never forget today."

In a press conference held before the performance, SEVENTEEN shared their excitement about being the first K-pop artists to participate in '팔 노르떼,' emphasizing the joy of connecting with fans globally through music, regardless of language or nationality. Leader S.Coups remarked, "We are known for our performances, and we will showcase our true abilities at '팔 노르떼.' We hope to return to Mexico for a world tour next time."

Often referred to as the 'Coachella of Mexico,' Tecate Pa’l Norte is one of the largest music festivals in Latin America. SEVENTEEN's participation alongside headliners like Olivia Rodrigo, Green Day, Benson Boon, and Charli XCX highlights their growing global stature.

Following their successful performance at '팔 노르떼,' SEVENTEEN will head to Japan for their upcoming fan meetings, scheduled for April 24 and 26-27 at Kyocera Dome Osaka, and May 10-11 at Saitama Super Arena for the 'SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING 'HOLIDAY.'
