Jeon Hyun-moo and BoA's Late-Night Live Stream Ends Abruptly

On the night of April 5, broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo and singer BoA hosted a late-night Instagram Live session from Jeon’s home, which was cut short due to concerns from their management. Jeon announced on his social media, 'This is my first time going live because someone kept encouraging me to do it. I’m enjoying some cherished drinks with a friend who came over.'
BoA soon joined the stream, and both appeared slightly tipsy, their faces flushed. The live broadcast lasted about 20 minutes, split into two segments. In the first five-minute segment, they exchanged greetings, while the second segment featured a Q&A with viewers.
When a viewer suggested BoA should appear on the reality show 나혼자 산다 (I Live Alone), she jokingly replied, 'Then I’ll spend a day living in this house,' referring to Jeon’s home. Jeon quickly interjected, 'BoA is just pretending to be drunk. She’s not really tipsy, so don’t worry about any slip-ups.'
BoA then critiqued Jeon’s home, saying, 'The decor is lacking, and there’s clutter everywhere. The guest bathroom is dirty; at least it shouldn’t smell.' When Jeon asked what she thought was wrong with his house, she responded, 'You have too much stuff piled up. Everything is messy except for the trophies. We need to live more comfortably.'
She added, 'If I were to go on I Live Alone, I’d want to borrow Hyun-moo’s house for a day and completely renovate it.'
Throughout the broadcast, BoA playfully leaned on Jeon’s shoulder and teased him, even answering questions about his rumored relationships, stating, 'They will never date.'
The live stream was ultimately halted at the request of their management. Both Jeon and BoA are affiliated with SM C&C and SM Entertainment, respectively. Jeon mentioned that his manager had been calling him repeatedly, saying, 'BoA is acting tipsy, and the company is in chaos.' BoA added, 'I guess they’re worried about us,' before they wrapped up the broadcast.
As of April 6, the live stream is no longer available on Jeon’s Instagram, but recordings have circulated on platforms like YouTube. Viewers have reacted with mixed feelings, with some expressing surprise at the duo’s friendship and others criticizing the portrayal of drunkenness in celebrity broadcasts, stating, 'It’s uncomfortable to see celebrities mention other stars while drunk.'
Critics have also noted the increasing trend of alcohol-fueled broadcasts, expressing a desire to see less of celebrities in such states.
