P1Harmony's Kiho Addresses Mother's Fraud Allegations

On February 19, Kiho of P1Harmony shared his thoughts regarding his mother's involvement in a fraud case through a private messaging service. He began with, "Hello. It's been a while, right? I think it has been quite confusing and difficult lately. I am truly sorry for that."

Kiho expressed gratitude towards his fans, known as 'P1ece,' saying, "I am very thankful to those who have supported and believed in me. I have read the letters you sent, and they have given me a lot of strength. I feel both grateful and sorry towards you all, and I will continue to move forward thinking of the P1ece who are always by my side. Thank you so much."

Recently, a media outlet reported that a film production company representative, referred to as A, claimed to have been defrauded by Kiho's mother, B. A alleged that B promised to repay a debt but then cut off communication. According to the report, A claimed to have suffered approximately 1.1 billion won in damages from B and her business partner, C, and even staged a one-person protest in front of FNC Entertainment's headquarters last year.

On March 20 of last year, it was reported that B was charged with violating laws related to fraud and similar solicitation. Although the police initially decided not to pursue the case, A's appeal was accepted, and the investigation has reportedly been reopened.

In light of the controversy, FNC Entertainment clarified that the case involving Kiho's mother was reported to the police last year and concluded with no charges filed. They emphasized that Kiho is not involved in this matter and was unaware of the developments.

Furthermore, they noted that despite Kiho's name being mentioned multiple times on the victim's social media, the victim has since clarified the misunderstanding and expressed apologies to the artist. FNC stated, "If the investigation reveals any wrongdoing on the part of Kiho's mother, she will naturally face legal consequences. Separately, Kiho feels a sense of responsibility as a son and will do his best to address the issues faced by the victims."
