Kim Yoon-ah of Jaurim Shares Health Update Amid Ongoing Battle with Neurological Issues

Kim Yoon-ah, the vocalist of the band Jaurim, has recently provided an update on her health, revealing a decline in her condition. On April 5, she shared, "April 4, 2025, was not only Battery Day but also a day when my blood pressure hit an all-time low. With a reading of 80/53, I felt like a zombie."
She continued, "While lying down and unable to open my eyes properly, I heard someone in the hospital say, 'It's done.' Whether it was the effects of treatment, low blood pressure, or a blessing of relief, I ended up sleeping for 21 hours straight over two days."
Kim Yoon-ah expressed that she is starting to feel better, stating, "I’m finally coming to my senses. Maintaining a daily routine is not something to take for granted; it’s truly precious. I think I can now work on new songs and promote upcoming performances."
She also mentioned her daily life, saying, "I can freely talk about my cats, the adventures of Pikmin and Wangnun, and even Andre, who is currently begging for tomatoes. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with fried eggs topped with cheese, and I had some today. I eat an apple every day of the year, and the cherry tomatoes I ordered are delicious. The bread that my beloved H sent me as a birthday gift is almost gone. I just want to talk about anything on April 5, 2025."
Her fans were relieved to hear that her condition has improved compared to her previous serious state. Last month, Kim Yoon-ah had shared a photo of herself receiving IV treatment in the hospital, which had raised concerns among her supporters.
In a statement last year, Jaurim's management clarified, "Kim Yoon-ah has a congenital immune disorder and manages her health with regular check-ups and treatments every month. This is unrelated to her neurological issues and does not significantly hinder her activities as an artist. She will continue to engage actively with her fans."
In July of last year, Kim Yoon-ah revealed her battle with neurological paralysis during a Sebasi lecture, explaining, "After creating Jaurim's eighth studio album in 2011, my immune system weakened, leading to neurological paralysis. As someone with congenital immune deficiency, I still receive monthly treatments. The paralysis affected my senses and muscles, but I have managed to recover to some extent. However, I still experience some residual effects, including slight vocal difficulties, which I suppress with effort. Thankfully, my hearing and muscles have improved enough for me to work again, but that experience made me realize that each project could be my last, motivating me to pour everything into my work."
