Karina of aespa Shows Resilience Despite Eye Injury

Karina from the K-pop group aespa demonstrated remarkable determination during a recent live broadcast with fellow member Giselle. On April 3, Giselle revealed that Karina, whose real name is Jimin, had been experiencing eye pain after a shoot the previous day, often squinting in discomfort. Karina disclosed that she had suffered a torn cornea, which required her to wear protective lenses for some time. She explained, 'I had to wear protective lenses while sleeping and continuously use eye drops.'

She also shared that during the 'Billboard Women in Music' event, she had to wear an eye patch, but it was too large to be effective. 'I apologize to the doctor, but I ended up wearing contact lenses over the protective lenses. Honestly, it was a bit nerve-wracking,' she admitted. Giselle expressed concern, saying, 'That's dangerous,' to which Karina reassured her, 'There were no issues.'
