Kim Bora Remembers Late Friend Kim Sae Ron on 49th Day of Mourning

On April 5, actress Kim Bora shared her heartfelt emotions on Instagram Stories, reflecting on her late friend Kim Sae Ron, who passed away 49 days prior. She reminisced about their first meeting at an audition when Kim Sae Ron was just 11 and Kim Bora was 16, recalling how fascinated Kim Sae Ron was by her. Kim Bora wrote, 'You loved receiving letters, so I enjoyed writing to you even on non-birthdays, whether through texts or handwritten notes. Looking at old photos, I realize how sentimental I was back then. You, the youngest, who hated the cold, and now it’s raining. Don’t fall, silly. Just receive my letters.'

This day marks a significant moment for Kim Bora as she mourns the loss of her dear friend. She expressed, 'Even if we can never meet again, the moments we shared were precious.'

Kim Sae Ron, known as a 'child prodigy' in acting, was found deceased at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16. A friend discovered her unresponsive and reported it, leading police to treat the case as a suspected suicide. Her funeral was held on February 19.

In the wake of her passing, Kim Sae Ron's family has raised serious allegations against actor Kim Soo Hyun, claiming he was involved in a 'grooming' situation during her teenage years. They also allege that Kim Soo Hyun's agency pressured them regarding a 700 million won compensation related to Kim Sae Ron's DUI incident.

In response, Kim Soo Hyun held an emergency press conference on March 31, vehemently denying the allegations of a relationship with Kim Sae Ron during her minor years. He emphasized that the individuals in the conversations shared by the family from 2016 and 2018 were different people. He stated that he dated Kim Sae Ron for about a year before they broke up, and urged the family to present any evidence to the authorities for verification.
