Jung Hae-kyun Reflects on Participating in Protest for Former President Yoon Seok-youl's Impeachment

Actor Jung Hae-kyun, known for his role in the popular Netflix original series 폭싹 속았수다 (My Name), shared his thoughts on participating in a protest calling for the impeachment of former President Yoon Seok-youl. During a live YouTube session of 매불쇼 (Mae Bul Show) on April 4, Jung discussed his experience at the Gwanghwamun rally, which took place on a snowy day. He recounted, 'The event started at 7 PM and ended at 9 PM, but it was snowing heavily.' After having a drink with a colleague, he felt a sense of emptiness and decided to return to Gwanghwamun, where he was drawn to a tent that was still lit amidst the darkness. He humorously noted that he had already been drinking when he ended up giving an interview at the protest site. Jung expressed his concern over the ongoing state of emergency following Yoon's administration, stating, 'Since December 3, I haven't been able to watch sports highlights, which used to be a part of my daily routine. My mind is elsewhere.' He acknowledged the worries of those around him regarding his participation in the protest, saying, 'People asked if it was okay for me to do this, considering my career in acting.' However, he emphasized that he believes in the importance of common sense prevailing over nonsense in political matters.
