Sung Si-kyung Announces Hiatus from Concert Activities After 14 Years

On April 5, singer Sung Si-kyung shared a heartfelt message on his social media, announcing a break from his concert activities for the first time in 14 years. He revealed that he will not hold his annual spring concert, 'Sung Si-kyung's Celebration Song' (성시경의 축가), which he has been hosting every May since 2012.
Sung expressed that taking a break from such a beloved performance, which has always filled him with joy and gratitude, required significant courage. He reflected on the numerous concerts he held last year and felt the need for a time to recharge.
While he won't be completely inactive, he plans to use this time wisely to reflect on himself, tackle new challenges, and prepare new music. He hopes to return with a concert by the end of the year, should the opportunity arise.
Sung reassured fans that this is not a retirement and asked for their understanding and support regarding his difficult decision. He also mentioned that he looks forward to connecting with fans during upcoming fan meetings.
In his post, he shared, "It's already April, and I hope you're all having a great weekend. I was deeply moved by everything I experienced recently. Thank you for your love and support. I will be taking a break from 'Sung Si-kyung's Celebration Song' after 14 years. Please don't worry; I will be back!"
