Choi Hwa-jung Enjoys Samgyeopsal on Her Apartment Terrace

On April 5, Choi Hwa-jung (최화정) delighted fans by enjoying samgyeopsal (삼겹살) on the terrace of her apartment overlooking Seoul Forest. In a recent episode of her YouTube channel 'Hello, This is Choi Hwa-jung' (안녕하세요 최화정이에요), she created a picnic atmosphere while savoring the grilled pork belly.

Choi remarked, "There aren't many days left to enjoy the balcony. In the summer, I just sunbathe out here," highlighting her love for the outdoors. She expressed her joy while preparing for the samgyeopsal party, stating, "I make good use of my balcony. I love the sunshine!" She also shared her preference for thin slices of pork belly, joking, "It’s perfect when paired with some seasoned greens."

The star caught attention as she added garlic and minari (미나리) to the sizzling pork fat, exclaiming, "This is no joke. Minari is a must in spring!" Choi was visibly happy as she enjoyed the combination of the pork belly and the dipping sauce with minari, exclaiming, "I’ve captured spring in its entirety!"

Emphasizing the importance of vegetables, she layered perilla leaves and lettuce in her wraps while donning sunglasses and enjoying a leisurely meal. Choi also prepared wraps for her staff, sharing the delicious food with them.

Reflecting on her past, she recalled, "The last time I had cold samgyeopsal was in the 90s. The members of the band Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter took me out to eat it." She humorously added, "There was a long line at the restaurant, and I waited while enjoying pizza from a nearby shop."

Choi Hwa-jung moved to a luxury apartment complex in Seongsu-dong in 2020. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's real transaction disclosure system, a similar unit (77 pyeong) was sold for 11 billion KRW last year.
