Actress and Writer Jeong Yoon-hye Announces Upcoming Wedding
Jeong Yoon-hye, known for her role as a twin sister alongside Han Ji-min in the drama Our Blues (우리들의 블루스), has shared the exciting news of her upcoming marriage. On February 22, she revealed her engagement through a video on her YouTube channel, titled 'I Met Someone I Want to Marry. Can I Live a Normal Life as a Person with Developmental Disabilities?'.
In the video, Jeong Yoon-hye shared her daily life, stating, "I work from 9 AM to 1 PM at the residency, where I paint with my colleagues, have lunch together, celebrate birthdays, and enjoy coffee breaks."
She expressed her joy about dating her fiancé, Yeong-nam, saying, "Everything is just fun. I do live broadcasts on YouTube, film mukbangs, and even record our dates together."
Jeong Yoon-hye also opened up about her concerns, asking, "I’m happy painting with my colleagues, but can I really live happily with Yeong-nam after we get married?"
The couple met while working together, and their relationship blossomed from there. Jeong Yoon-hye recounted, "We met at work when Yeong-nam joined in February. He showed interest in me and confessed his feelings. One day, he suddenly asked, 'Eun-hye, can you marry me?' Hearing that made me really happy because I love him."
They plan to hold their engagement ceremony this summer, inviting friends with developmental disabilities and acquaintances. Jeong Yoon-hye, who beams whenever Yeong-nam's name is mentioned, humorously noted, "But he’s not my first love."
Reflecting on her life, she shared, "I was born with Down syndrome, which made me feel different. I struggled with speech and was diagnosed with moderate Down syndrome. However, painting has changed my life. I’ve met people at the river market, taken photos, and created art based on those experiences. I draw families, cats, people with disabilities, couples, and children."
As she candidly shared her story and wedding news, Jeong Yoon-hye received an outpouring of congratulations online. Comments included, "Congratulations on your marriage, Eun-hye!", "May you both love each other endlessly", and "Wishing you a happy family!"
Jeong Yoon-hye is not only an actress but also a writer. She gained attention for her role in the film Your Face (니얼굴), which was featured at the 25th Busan International Film Festival, the 12th Gwangju Women’s Film Festival, and won an award at the 18th Seoul Environmental Film Festival. In 2022, she played the role of the older twin sister in Our Blues (우리들의 블루스).
