Yoo Ah-in's Film 'High Five' Set for June Release

The film 'High Five,' featuring actor Yoo Ah-in, is currently in discussions for a June release. Distribution company NEW confirmed on April 4 that they are considering a June premiere for the movie, adding that Yoo Ah-in will not participate in any promotional activities. 'High Five' wrapped filming in November 2021 and marks Yoo Ah-in's return to the big screen after four years, following his roles in the Netflix original series 'The Fool of the End' and the film 'Victory.' The movie tells the story of five individuals who unexpectedly gain superpowers and encounter those who seek to exploit their abilities. Directed by Kang Hyoung-chul, known for hits like 'Scandal Makers' and 'Sunny,' the film also stars Lee Jae-in, Ahn Jae-hong, Ra Mi-ran, and Kim Hee-won. Meanwhile, Yoo Ah-in was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for two years, along with a fine of 2 million won, following a February appeal court ruling. He was previously incarcerated for five months before being released. However, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has filed an appeal against the second trial's verdict, leading to a pending final decision from the court.
