Undercover High School Premieres with Intense Action and Romance

The new MBC drama, Undercover High School (언더커버 하이스쿨), premiered on February 21, 2025, featuring the thrilling escapades of Jeong Hae-seong (서강준) as he embarks on an undercover mission at Byeongmun High School. In the first episode, Hae-seong infiltrates a black market scene, where he is instructed by Team Leader Ahn (전배수) to track down a suspect while a support team is on the way. However, Hae-seong decides to act quickly, stating, 'There’s no time. If I go any further, I’ll hit the downtown area. I need to catch them before that.'

He successfully subdues a Chinese broker and a criminal named Park (조복래), managing to protect valuable cultural artifacts, although his gunfire inadvertently damages them. Frustrated, he questions, 'Who shot a gun here?' only to realize he is the culprit.

Later, Team Leader Ahn reveals a new mission: to find gold bars worth 800 billion won hidden by the traitor Seo Byeong-mun (김의성). Hae-seong protests, 'Are you crazy? How can I go to school?' but Ahn insists he looks young enough to pass as a student.

After a team dinner, Hae-seong is left alone in a restaurant, contemplating the potential disbandment of his team if he fails his undercover assignment. Meanwhile, Oh Soo-ah (진기주), a temporary teacher at Byeongmun High and the restaurant owner's daughter, is smitten at first sight when she sees Hae-seong. She admires, 'He’s really handsome,' but soon finds herself in trouble when a group of delinquents threatens her. Hae-seong intervenes effortlessly, leaving Soo-ah flustered and saying, 'Mom, my heart is racing.'

Days later, Hae-seong enrolls at Byeongmun High as a student and encounters Soo-ah again. She scolds him, 'Come here! How did you get past the ID check?' and warns him about his behavior, threatening, 'If I catch you again, it’s straight to the counseling office.' Hae-seong retorts, 'That’s ridiculous. You weren’t exactly innocent either. You fought alongside me, remember?'

Soo-ah, taken aback, claims she was trying to help him, but Hae-seong insists he never asked for help and suggests they move on amicably since it’s his first day. Later, she shares the story with her fellow teachers, muttering, 'Am I crazy for falling for him?' and vows to keep an eye on him.

Convinced he has found the location of the hidden gold, Hae-seong sneaks into the old building of Byeongmun High, only to encounter someone aiming a gun at him as he descends the stairs.
