Tony An Calls Im Hyun-sik 'Father' on 'My Little Old Boy'

In the latest episode of SBS's variety show My Little Old Boy (미운우리새끼), which aired on April 6, 2025, Tony An (토니안) surprised viewers by referring to Im Hyun-sik (임현식) as 'father.' Tony visited Im's home, recalling a past romantic connection between his mother and Im from a year ago. Im's mother expressed her delight at seeing her son meet with Im, saying, 'It's like meeting a father,' while Im warmly welcomed Tony with 'Oh, Tony.' Tony introduced himself as the son of Lee Ok-jin (이옥진), his mother.

During the visit, comedian Kim Jun-ho (김준호) jokingly mentioned that the guest house was empty and suggested it would be nice if Tony got married and returned. Im then asked Tony, who is over 40, why he is still single. Tony replied that he is still unmarried, although his mother is eager to see grandchildren. Im inquired if there were any discussions about him, to which Tony clarified that the conversation was about his own marriage, leading to laughter from everyone.

The three men had gathered to help with household chores, but Im seemed to focus solely on Tony, leaving Kim and Im Won-hee (임원희) to do most of the work, which added to the humor of the situation. Im then asked Tony what type of senior he prefers, to which Tony responded that he likes intelligent men. He added that he has a fantasy about a man who can speak foreign languages, prompting Im to humorously claim he studied Spanish at the University of Madrid.

When asked about his mother's attractive qualities, Tony mentioned her youthful spirit and love for flowers. At that moment, Tony's mother made a surprise appearance. Kim Jun-ho joked that if things went well, Tony would have to call Im 'father,' to which Im responded, 'Anytime.' However, Tony revealed that his real father passed away 17 years ago, making it difficult for him to call anyone 'father' since then. He shared that his father had been married four times, resulting in four stepmothers.

Tony's mother encouraged him, saying that since he has no father, he could call Im 'father.' Im also urged Tony to try calling him 'father' after 17 years. Hesitantly, Tony addressed Im as 'father,' and Im playfully responded, 'Yes, my son,' which made Tony blush. Afterward, Tony suggested that the two of them go for a walk together, indicating his desire to foster a connection between them.
