Surprise Birthday Party for Song Jin-woo in 'Villain's Country'

In the latest episode of KBS2's sitcom Villain's Country (빌런의 나라), which aired on April 3, 2025, a surprise birthday party was organized for the character Song Jin-woo (송진우). Although Jin-woo was excited for his birthday, he was disappointed to find that his breakfast was not the traditional seaweed soup but rather bean sprout soup. His day took a turn for the worse when he ended up in the emergency room after dislocating his jaw while trying to eat a hamburger for lunch. With a crowded ER, he had to treat himself and later made a mistake at work that led to a scolding from his colleague Seo Hyun-cheol (서현철). Despite these setbacks, Jin-woo remained hopeful for a special birthday celebration, thinking, "Is this a surprise? They wouldn't do this on purpose, would they?"

However, when he returned home, he found that his family, including his wife Oh Yoo-jin (오유진) and others like Oh Na-ra (오나라), had completely forgotten about his birthday. Feeling neglected, Jin-woo decided to throw away gifts he had previously given to his family. In a moment of frustration, he declared, "I’ll destroy everything!" Just then, Koo Won-hee (최예나) mentioned a calendar with Jin-woo's birthday marked on it, prompting the family to hastily prepare a surprise party. Unfortunately, Jin-woo was in such a bad mood that he ignored Yoo-jin's requests.

When he finally arrived home, the surprise party was in full swing. Yoo-jin playfully asked, "Did you really think we didn’t know?" as they celebrated. Despite concerns that Jin-woo might catch on, Oh Na-ra insisted that the surprise must go on. The highlight of the party was a gaming console that Jin-woo had long desired. Overjoyed, he later rushed to the trash to retrieve the gifts he had discarded, only to find they had already been collected. When his family expressed disappointment, Jin-woo headed to the incineration site to search for his gifts, and his family joined him, creating a touching moment.

Unfortunately, by the next morning, they had not found the gifts. In a twist of fate, Jin-woo discovered a lottery ticket with a grand prize of 300 million won, but it only yielded a meager 3,000 won, leaving him feeling let down.
