Park Ji-bin Returns to Film After Six Years with 'My Name Is'

Actor Park Ji-bin is making his return to the big screen after a six-year hiatus with the film 'My Name Is' (내 이름은), directed by Jeong Ji-young and produced by Let's Film and Aura Pictures. This human drama explores the connections between the names 'Jeong-soon' and 'Young-ok,' delving into the scars left by the Jeju 4.3 Incident in 1948. The narrative unfolds through the tumultuous journey of South Korea's democratization in the 1980s, revealing its implications for future generations in 2024.

In the film, Park Ji-bin plays the role of 'Kyung-tae,' a new student who transfers from Seoul to Jeju. Kyung-tae is depicted as a wealthy and strong character, whose mere presence instills a sense of intimidation and tension among his classmates.

Park Ji-bin has garnered acclaim for his performances in various projects, including Disney+'s 'Killer's Shopping Mall,' tvN's 'Blind,' and KBS2's 'Red Heart.' With 'My Name Is,' he aims to showcase a different charm and depth in his acting, building on the diverse characters he has portrayed in the past.

The film 'My Name Is' recently completed filming on April 3, and it has generated excitement with the casting of actress Yeom Hye-ran alongside Park Ji-bin.
