Lee Jung-hyun Welcomes Second Child on 'Newly Launched Restaurant'

In the latest episode of KBS 2TV's variety show Newly Launched Restaurant (신상출시 편스토랑), Lee Jung-hyun (이정현) shared the journey of welcoming her second child. As she prepared for the delivery, she packed her hospital bag and asked her daughter, Seo-ah (서아), if she could manage without her. Seo-ah's cheerful 'yes' quickly turned to a heartfelt 'don't go' as she clung to her mother’s suitcase.

After being away from home for 18 days for the delivery, Lee Jung-hyun prepared a meal of seasoned vegetable bibimbap, soybean paste soup, and egg yolk sauce for her husband and Seo-ah. During dinner, her husband asked if she felt scared about the second delivery, to which Lee Jung-hyun admitted, "I’m still scared, especially when entering the operating room. But I can’t wait to meet the baby."

On the day of the surgery, she expressed her excitement and anxiety, saying, "I couldn’t sleep at all last night. I’m so curious about what the baby looks like; the 3D ultrasound showed the baby looks just like Seo-ah."

Despite her fears, Lee Jung-hyun successfully gave birth to her second child, affectionately nicknamed 'Bok-dong-i' (복덩이), and expressed her joy, saying, "So tiny! Hello, Bok-dong-i, it’s mommy." Her husband held her hand tightly post-surgery, thanking her for the effort.

On the second day after birth, she remarked on how much the baby resembled her, exclaiming, "It looks just like me! It’s like a mini version of myself!"

Just three days after giving birth, Lee Jung-hyun appeared on the show looking refreshed and amazed at her recovery, asking her doctor how she felt so good without swelling or pain. The doctor jokingly suggested that if she had a third child, he would also work hard to ensure a smooth delivery, to which Lee Jung-hyun humorously replied, "No, no, no!"

In a video call from the studio, Lee Jung-hyun updated the viewers on her new baby, stating, "The baby is very healthy, drinking milk, and sleeping well. We’ve named the baby Seo-woo (서우)." She also shared that Seo-ah initially reacted awkwardly to her new sibling but is now helping with feeding, showing her maturity by saying, "I will protect you, little sister!"
