Kwon Eun-bi Reflects on Generational Gap with Jang Won-young During IZ*ONE Days
Kwon Eun-bi recently opened up about the generational differences she felt while promoting with her group IZ*ONE, particularly with the youngest member, Jang Won-young. In an episode of the YouTube channel 'Workman' on April 4, Kwon Eun-bi shared her experience while working alongside host Jang Sung-kyu as a luxury car mechanic. She noted, "When we were active in IZ*ONE, I was the oldest member, and there was a nine-year age gap with the youngest member, Jang Won-young, who was born in 2004." Jang Sung-kyu playfully teased her, saying, "So you were like an aunt to her," to which Kwon Eun-bi humorously replied, "More like a teacher!" When asked if she noticed the age difference during conversations, Kwon Eun-bi recalled a moment when she was singing the song 'Already One Year' and Jang Won-young asked, "What’s that?" This made her realize the generational gap, as it was a nostalgic hit she often sang at karaoke. 'Already One Year' is the debut song of Brown Eyed Soul, released in June 2001. Jang Sung-kyu remarked that Kwon Eun-bi's generation is similar to his, but she quickly dismissed that idea, adding to the light-hearted banter.
