Jiho Discusses Contract Renewal with Parents on 'Da Geureon De' Show

On the April 5 episode of MBC Every1 and MBN's show '다 컸는데 안 나가요' (Da Geureon De), Jiho engaged in a candid discussion with his parents about renewing his broadcasting contract for 2025. Jiho's father suggested they draft a new contract, stating, "It's something we have to go through eventually," showcasing a firm stance on the matter. He expressed his desire for Jiho to be more proactive, saying, "I wanted to remind you to get your act together and work hard like an ant." As Jiho prepares to embark on a solo career outside of his agency, his father emphasized the importance of mental readiness.
The conversation took a humorous turn when Jiho's father inquired about how Jiho would manage living expenses, jokingly mentioning he would charge him rent. In response, Jiho humorously began searching for his suitcase, exclaiming, "I can't live in this corner of the house anymore!" This prompted laughter as his father comically spat out his kimchi soup in surprise.
When discussing the new contract, Jiho's father proposed a split of 20% for himself, 40% for Jiho's mother, and 40% for Jiho, leaving Jiho visibly shocked as he previously received 80%. He also noted that since Jiho has been appearing on TV, many people have been asking him to buy drinks, to which Jiho advised his father to cut ties with such individuals. Jiho's mother added that with more people recognizing them, she needed to maintain her appearance, humorously mentioning the costs associated with looking presentable.
Jiho concluded the discussion by stating, "While contracts are important, emotions play a significant role in them. We need to convey those emotions effectively," leaving everyone in stitches with his unique perspective.
