Kim Yoon-ah of Jaurim Shares Health Update After Severe Low Blood Pressure
Kim Yoon-ah, the lead vocalist of the band Jaurim (자우림), recently provided an update on her health status. On April 5, she posted on her social media account, revealing that her blood pressure had dropped to a staggering 80/53, jokingly asking, "Am I a zombie?"
She described a disorienting experience where she could barely open her eyes while lying down, recalling hearing someone in her hospital room say, "It's done." She speculated whether this was due to the effects of treatment, low blood pressure, or simply a moment of relief, noting that she had slept for 21 hours over two days.
Expressing gratitude, Kim emphasized that maintaining a normal daily life is a precious gift, stating, "Now I can work on music and promote performances. I can freely talk about my cats, Pikmin, and the antics of my cat Andre, who is currently begging for tomatoes."
She also shared her current food cravings, mentioning her love for cheese-topped fried eggs and her daily apple consumption. Additionally, she noted that the cherry tomatoes she recently ordered are particularly delicious and that she is running out of bread sent as a birthday gift from her beloved friend H.
Kim Yoon-ah's post indicates that she had been in a challenging state due to her low blood pressure, which had left her unable to function normally. Previously, she had revealed her battle with neurological paralysis, which has affected her senses, including taste and smell, and she continues to experience some lingering effects. In September of last year, she disclosed her struggle with congenital immune deficiency, explaining that she requires monthly immunoglobulin injections due to low immunoglobulin levels, which contributed to her health decline and subsequent neurological issues.
