Clone's Gu Jun-yeop Struggles After Wife's Passing

Gu Jun-yeop, a member of the popular duo Clon, has been in the spotlight recently due to his emotional struggles following the death of his wife, Seo Hee-won. Reports from Chinese media outlets, including Sohu.com, reveal that Gu has withdrawn from public appearances since burying Seo's remains. He has reportedly lost around 12 kg and is in a state of deep grief, crying daily.
To support him during this difficult time, Seo Hee-won's family has been inviting Gu for weekly dinners. He has been feeling isolated, as he had only one friend with him in Taiwan, and is enduring immense pain without family support. Seo Hee-won's family is providing care and encouragement to him.
Despite their efforts, Gu has not yet returned to his normal routine. He has halted all activities to focus on creating a statue in memory of his late wife. Although the statue is still in progress, he has already reserved a spot at the Geumbo Mountain cemetery for its installation.
Gu Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won had a brief relationship in 1998 before parting ways. Seo later married Chinese businessman Wang Su-bi, with whom she had two children, but they divorced in 2021. After reconnecting, Gu and Seo married in 2022, but tragically, Seo passed away from acute pneumonia during a trip to Japan on February 2.
Following her death, there have been controversies surrounding Seo Hee-won's substantial inheritance. Gu has stated that he will relinquish all claims to the inheritance to his mother-in-law, Hwang Chun-mae, and intends to take legal measures to protect the children's rights and assets from any negative influences. However, under Taiwanese law, custody of the children has been granted to Wang Su-bi, who plans to move them to Hong Kong with his new wife.
Amidst these developments, allegations have surfaced that Hwang Chun-mae secretly sold jewelry left to Seo Hee-won's daughter, which both Hwang and Seo's sister, Seo Hee-je, have vehemently denied, calling the claims 'absurd lies.'
