A Son's Painful Confession on 'Oh Eun-young Report: Marriage Hell'

In the latest episode of MBC's 'Oh Eun-young Report: Marriage Hell' (오은영 리포트–결혼 지옥), which aired on January 6, 2025, a heartbreaking story unfolded as a son shared his struggles with his mother's verbal abuse. During this family counseling special for the New Year, the son revealed that he has no happy memories with his mother from his childhood. He expressed, "Every time I talk to my mom, I feel like I'm worthless. She never admits to being wrong, and I just accumulate guilt. Facing her is terrifying."

The son even communicated to the production team that he wanted to cancel a pre-interview because he was not ready to see his mother. In tears, he stated, "I really hate the idea of seeing her." He also mentioned that he rarely leaves the house except for work, often feeling lonely and unwell. "I often feel sad when I'm alone, even when I take care of myself and take medication," he shared.

Recalling a painful memory from the fourth grade, he revealed that he accidentally read his mother's diary, which indicated that she initially wanted to erase him but ended up giving birth after a failed abortion. He recounted hearing her say, "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be living like this," which deeply affected him.

The son described his home as a place filled with frequent arguments, mentioning that his father left due to infidelity. Despite being a good student, he struggled with his college entrance exam and disclosed that his mother berated him for not performing well. He shocked everyone by sharing that his mother told him, "I can't face our relatives because of you. Just go outside and get hit by a car."
