BTS's Jungkook Launches New Instagram Account After Two Years

Jungkook (정국), a member of the globally renowned group BTS (방탄소년단), has officially launched a new Instagram account after a two-year hiatus. On July 15, 2025, he created the account under the handle 'mnijungkook'. This marks his return to social media following the deletion of his personal Instagram account in February 2023, just before his military service. At that time, Jungkook explained that he felt he would have 'nothing to do' and clarified that the account deletion was not due to hacking, despite having amassed 52.4 million followers.

During his time away from personal social media, Jungkook did set up an account for his pet dog, Bam, but refrained from creating a personal account until now. His new account has already attracted significant attention, with fellow BTS members Jimin, J-Hope, V, and RM following him. In a short span since its launch, Jungkook's new account has gained over 1.1 million followers.

In related news, Jungkook completed his military service on June 11, 2025, after enlisting in December 2023. BTS is currently preparing for a full group comeback, aiming for a return in the spring of 2026.
