Minho to Star in the Play 'Rendezvous' Offering Unique Experience

Minho (최민호) from SM Entertainment is set to captivate audiences with his performance in the play 'Rendezvous' (랑데부), which tells the story of two individuals burdened by life's challenges who unexpectedly meet and help each other heal. In this production, directed and written by Yossef K. Junghan (김정한), Minho will portray the character Taeseob, a rocket researcher who has confined himself within his own rules to escape painful memories. The narrative unfolds dramatically over 100 minutes without an intermission, as Taeseob encounters Jihee (played by Kim Hari), who returns to a place from her past to confront her own wounds.

The play features a unique rectangular stage setup reminiscent of a fashion show runway, with the audience positioned on both sides. This innovative design allows the two characters to continuously move on a treadmill, symbolizing their struggle to bridge the emotional distance between them, thus providing a distinctive viewing experience.

Minho is reportedly dedicating himself to rigorous practice to master the continuous dialogue and the dance elements that connect the characters, earning praise from the production staff for his vibrant energy that enhances the atmosphere on set.

Notably, similar to his debut theater project 'Waiting for Godot', Minho has achieved remarkable success with 'Rendezvous', selling out all performances before they even began, showcasing his exceptional ticket-selling power. Fans are eagerly anticipating his new acting transformation.

The play 'Rendezvous' will run from April 5 (Saturday) to May 11 (Sunday) at the Freedom Theater of the Seoul Arts Center.
