Lee Seung-chul Announces His Eldest Daughter's Upcoming Wedding
On April 6, during the 300th episode of the show 'Sadangui' (사당귀), singer Lee Seung-chul (이승철) shared the exciting news of his eldest daughter's wedding. The episode featured special MC Shin Ji (신지) from the group Koyote (코요태), and showcased a grand bento prepared by Shin Jong-cheol (신종철), known as the 'God of Buffets' (뷔페의 신), to support his favorite senior, Lee Seung-chul, during his nationwide concert tour.
Shin Jong-cheol expressed his affection for Lee Seung-chul, instructing the chefs to put extra care into the meal. He revealed that the preparation took two full days and cost around 1 million won. The luxurious bento included top-tier delicacies from across Korea, such as octopus, matsutake mushrooms, abalone, and premium Hanwoo beef, alongside lobster, sashimi, and octopus salad, all beautifully arranged in a five-tiered bento box.
As Lee Seung-chul marveled at the extravagant meal, he remarked, 'In my 40 years as a singer, I've never seen a bento like this.' Shin Jong-cheol expressed hopes of collaborating with Lee Seung-chul in the future, to which Lee responded, 'We should have a gala show. A gala dinner.' He also mentioned that his wife, eldest daughter, and her boyfriend would be enjoying the meal, adding, 'I will make sure they have a delicious time.'
In a surprising twist, Lee Seung-chul revealed, 'I will soon have a son-in-law. My daughter is getting married in October. I might even become a grandfather soon.' This announcement adds a personal touch to the singer's public persona, as he previously remarried in January 2007 to businesswoman Park Hyun-jung (박현정), with whom he has two daughters.
