Kim Sang-hyuk of Click-B Shares His Life Updates on 'Salim Nam'

Kim Sang-hyuk, a former member of the iconic K-pop group Click-B, is making a return to the spotlight after a long hiatus. He will appear as the second featured guest on the KBS2 show Salim Nam (살림하는 남자들 시즌2) airing on April 5.
Debuting in 1999 as part of Korea's first idol band, Click-B, Kim quickly became known for his striking visuals and unique charm, capturing the hearts of fans and dominating the entertainment scene. However, following a scandal in 2005, his public appearances dwindled, leading to a significant gap in his career.
In this episode of Salim Nam, Kim reveals his current life, where he runs a restaurant and is seen distributing flyers on the streets, showcasing his dedication to his business. He opens up about the challenges he faced during his 20-year absence from television, explaining that the public scrutiny made his return difficult.
Kim candidly shares his feelings about leaving the entertainment industry after the scandal, stating, "I felt like going outside would lead to a disaster. The backlash was overwhelming, and after experiencing so much love, the sudden shift was too much to handle."
He also shares a poignant personal story about losing his father in an accident at the age of 11, which brings him to tears. Despite the passage of over 30 years, his mother expresses her longing, saying, "I would be happy if my husband could just be by my side, even in a wheelchair."
Additionally, Kim discusses a past incident where he fell victim to a scam that cost him two homes worth approximately 2.3 billion KRW, leading him to live in a modest 15-pyeong apartment with his mother, a revelation that surprises many viewers.
Salim Nam will air on KBS2 at 9:20 PM KST on April 5.
