Kang Eun-bi Ties the Knot with Byun Jun-pil After 17 Years Together
Actress Kang Eun-bi has officially married Byun Jun-pil, known for his 'ulzzang' (best face) fame, in a ceremony held today (April 5) surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. The couple announced their wedding plans on March 4, revealing that they had been together for 17 years. Kang shared her journey, stating, 'During a time of uncertainty in my life, I met a friend in 2008 who helped me become more positive. I thought we could build a good family together, but my insecurities often held me back. Yet, this friend has always been there for me, providing a sense of peace like a steadfast tree.'
Kang continued, 'After spending 17 years together, we finally decided to get married. We prepared for our wedding without any arguments, like a couple just starting their first romance.' The identity of her long-term partner was revealed to be Byun Jun-pil.
Kang confirmed, 'We have been together since 2008 without any breakups. We are both born in 1986 and attended the same school, Seoul Institute of the Arts.' She described Byun as a supportive figure who has always been like a shadow, quietly watching over her without ever interfering with her career. 'We never even took typical couple photos together. While I may not be a big star, Jun-pil has always been there, silently cheering me on.'
Kang expressed her desire to transition from being behind each other to standing side by side as a married couple. She also announced plans to share their story on YouTube, transforming her personal channel into a couple's channel. 'We may not be perfect, but we hope for your warm encouragement and support.'
The couple had previously denied dating rumors in 2008 but have maintained a strong bond as friends and partners over the years. Byun Jun-pil is known to work in the interior design field. Kang Eun-bi made her acting debut in the 2005 film 'Mongjeonggi 2' and has appeared in various projects, including the sitcom 'Rainbow Romance' and dramas like 'The Man in the Vineyard' and 'Sons of Sol Pharmacy.'
