Billlie's Main Rappers Moon Sua and Si Yun Debut as a Unit with 'SNAP'

The K-pop group Billlie has launched its first sub-unit featuring main rappers Moon Sua (문수아) and Si Yun (시윤) with the release of their digital single 'SNAP (feat. sokodomo)' on April 7 at 6 PM KST.

Since their debut in 2021, Billlie has been crafting a unique narrative known as 'Billiverse' through diverse and experimental music, performances, and distinctive artwork. This new unit marks the first time the group has showcased a sub-unit, spotlighting the talents of Moon Sua and Si Yun.

The track 'SNAP (feat. sokodomo)' combines the deep bass and minimalistic rhythms characteristic of drill music with electronic pop synth sounds, reinterpreting it into a hyper-hip-hop genre. Both members contributed to the lyrics, embedding authentic messages within the song.

Moon Sua delivers a powerful rap with a husky voice, creating a strong presence, while Si Yun showcases a smooth flow and impressive performance skills, reflecting the unit's identity. The song metaphorically narrates their journey through life's challenges, emphasizing self-reflection and determination for the future.

The experimental sound design transcends traditional genre boundaries, infusing Billlie's innovative musical style. Global production teams Benjamin 55 and Stary 55 also contributed to the track, enhancing its quality.

The music video, released alongside the single, features a dreamy atmosphere with a unique 'chrome noir' concept, showcasing Moon Sua and Si Yun in a fencing arena, heightening the tension as they face each other. A mysterious mermaid figure appears, hinting at Billlie's signature storytelling.

Billlie has consistently left a deep impression with their unique sensibilities and storytelling, and with this sub-unit, Moon Sua and Si Yun are set to amplify their individual strengths and artistic presence through their experimental endeavors.
