Kim Nam-joo Launches YouTube Channel and Solo Variety Show

After 31 years in the entertainment industry, actress Kim Nam-joo is set to embark on her first solo variety show and YouTube venture. Following the trend of many actresses taking to YouTube, Kim's move comes after Han Ga-in's successful channel, sparking curiosity about her own content.

On April 2, it was revealed that Kim Nam-joo has created her own YouTube channel to engage with fans. The content will be unveiled through SBS Life's new variety program, 'Queen of Insight' (안목의 여왕).

'Queen of Insight' aims to broaden viewers' perspectives by sharing various aspects of Kim's life that she has not previously disclosed. Although Kim has hosted and appeared as a guest on numerous variety shows since her debut in 1994, this marks her first time participating in a solo variety format and her debut on YouTube.

Recently, several actresses, including Han Ga-in, Lee Min-jung, and Oh Yeon-seo, have ventured into YouTube, with Han Ga-in gaining significant attention for showcasing her daily life and unexpected side through her channel. Her fashion choices and beauty products have also captured the interest of netizens.

Known for her cool and sophisticated image, Kim Nam-joo has primarily interacted with the public through her roles in dramas and films. However, 'Queen of Insight' is expected to present a more relatable side of her, moving beyond her on-screen characters to reveal her everyday life.

Throughout her career, Kim has shared insights into her fashion style and dieting secrets, often sparking discussions about her outfits and accessories from various dramas. Notably, her rigorous diet to transform into the character Go Hye-ran in the 2018 drama 'Misty' received considerable attention.
