The summer box office is set to welcome back Jo Jung-seok, a master of comedy, in the new film 'Zombie Daughter' (좀비딸), directed by Pil Gam-seong and produced by Studio N. The film, which had its production press conference on June 30 at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul, tells the story of a devoted father who undergoes secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last zombie in the world. The event featured the cast, including Jo Jung-seok as the father Jeong-hwan, Lee Jung-eun as his mother Bamsun, Jo Yeo-jeong as his first love Yeon-hwa, Yoon Kyung-ho as his supportive friend Dong-bae, and Choi Yu-ri as his zombie daughter Sua.

Based on the popular webtoon by Lee Yoon-chang, 'Zombie Daughter' follows a father's struggles to keep his daughter safe from a mysterious zombie virus by retreating to his mother's rural home. The film is highly anticipated as a summer blockbuster, alongside the action-fantasy film 'All-Knowing Reader' (전지적 독자 시점) directed by Kim Byeong-woo, showcasing a high level of synchronization with the original webtoon and imaginative storytelling.

Jo Jung-seok, known for his previous summer hits like 'Exit' (엑시트) and 'Pilot' (파일럿), is expected to deliver another memorable performance as the 'dad who loves his daughter.' His comedic portrayal, which includes quirky training routines ranging from basic etiquette to dance and even zombie avoidance drills, is sure to resonate with audiences. The film also features strong supporting performances from Lee Jung-eun, Jo Yeo-jeong, and Yoon Kyung-ho, along with Choi Yu-ri's transformation into a lovable zombie.
