ZEROBASEONE Aims for Dual Success with New EP 'PREZENT'

The K-pop group ZEROBASEONE (제로베이스원), consisting of Seong Han-bin (성한빈), Kim Ji-woong (김지웅), Zhang Hao (장하오), Seok Matthew (석매튜), Kim Tae-rae (김태래), Ricky (리키), Kim Kyu-bin (김규빈), Park Geon-wook (박건욱), and Han Yoo-jin (한유진), has officially launched their first Japanese EP titled 'PREZENT (프레젠트)' today, January 29, 2025. The album features a total of six tracks, including two double title songs.
The first double title track, 'NOW OR NEVER (나우 오어 네버)', blends drum and bass with rock elements, showcasing a harmonious mix of emotional piano and energetic guitar melodies. The song conveys a heartfelt message of returning to a loved one despite being apart: "Even when we are apart, I always keep my feelings for you, and finally, I have returned to you."
The second double title track, 'Only One Story (온리 원 스토리)', serves as an uplifting anthem for those embarking on adventures, reassuring them that "everything will be alright." This track has also been featured as the opening theme for the latest series of the popular Japanese anime 'Pokémon', further solidifying ZEROBASEONE's influence in the local market.
Additionally, 'PREZENT' includes 'Firework (파이어워크)', a disco house track that expresses the anticipation of every moment being a gift, and 'HANA (하나)', the group's first fan song in Japan, which emphasizes the bond between ZEROBASEONE and their fandom, ZEROSE. The album also features Japanese versions of their Korean songs 'Feel the POP (Japanese ver.)' and 'GOOD SO BAD (Japanese ver.)', enriching the overall experience.
'PREZENT' is a special album prepared by ZEROBASEONE as a gift to their fans, showcasing four original Japanese songs and demonstrating the group's diverse musical spectrum across various genres.
With their skyrocketing popularity in Japan, all eyes are on ZEROBASEONE as they aim to set new records with 'PREZENT'. Last March, they achieved 'Half Million Seller' status just a week after debuting with their first Japanese single 'ゆらゆら -運命の花- (Yurayura -Unmei no Hana-)', which earned them a 'Double Platinum' certification from the Japan Record Association for exceeding 500,000 shipments. The single also topped the K-pop TOP 20 at Tower Records' '2024 Bestsellers' and ranked 16th on Billboard Japan's annual 'Top Single Sales' chart.
Following the release of 'PREZENT', ZEROBASEONE is set to make their domestic comeback with their fifth mini album on February 24, 2025, as they target simultaneous success in both Korea and Japan as a '5th generation icon'.
