Yulhee Remains Silent Amid Ex-Husband Minhwan's Denials

Yulhee, former member of the girl group LABOUM, is choosing to remain silent in response to her ex-husband Minhwan's rebuttals regarding allegations made against him. Minhwan, a member of the band FTISLAND, publicly stated on December 18 that he has never engaged in prostitution, countering Yulhee's claims. Despite his assertions, Yulhee has been sharing glimpses of her relaxed daily life without addressing the controversy directly.

In his message on the fan communication platform Weverse, Minhwan expressed his frustration, stating, "I feel that being part of a company and a group means I have too much to protect, which makes it hard to speak out. As reported in the media, I have never engaged in prostitution, and the investigation concluded with insufficient evidence. How can I prove something I didn't do?" He further explained that he visited the hotels mentioned in the recordings to be alone and expressed his difficulty in understanding why he should ask people to believe him without concrete evidence.

Minhwan concluded his statement by emphasizing, "I just want you to know that I am not hiding or running away."

The couple began dating publicly in September 2017 and married after an unplanned pregnancy. They announced their divorce via social media in December of last year after six years of marriage, with custody of their three children awarded to Minhwan. Following their split, Minhwan appeared on the KBS 2TV parenting show 'The Return of Superman,' while Yulhee showcased her solo life on TV CHOSUN's 'Now I'm Alone.'

However, public criticism towards Yulhee intensified, leading her to release a video on her YouTube channel detailing her divorce process and allegations regarding Minhwan's visits to entertainment establishments. In her shocking revelations, she claimed that Minhwan had inappropriately touched her in front of family members and had previously engaged in questionable behavior before the 'entertainment incident' came to light.

As a result of the controversy, Minhwan stepped back from all entertainment activities, and FTISLAND continued as a duo without him. The police also initiated an investigation into Minhwan for potential violations of prostitution laws and allegations of sexual assault against Yulhee.

On December 5, Yulhee filed a request for modification of parental rights and custody, as well as claims for alimony and property division, expressing her desire to raise her children again.

On October 29, the Seoul Gangnam Police concluded their investigation into Minhwan's alleged violations of prostitution laws and sexual assault, determining there was insufficient evidence to proceed with charges.

After being cleared of charges, Minhwan stated, "In a situation where one-sided claims and falsehoods have spread as if they were facts, I felt that hastily revealing my position could worsen the situation. I wanted to handle things properly for the sake of our three children." He labeled Yulhee's allegations as one-sided and false.

A month and a half later, Minhwan reiterated his innocence regarding the prostitution allegations, while Yulhee has not publicly responded to his latest statements.
