YouTuber Indicted for Marijuana Use with Yoo Ah-in

YouTuber Yang (양모씨) has been indicted for allegedly smoking marijuana with actor Yoo Ah-in (유아인), whose real name is Eom Hong-sik (엄홍식). According to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, Yang was charged on November 22 for violating the Narcotics Control Act regarding marijuana.

The prosecution revealed that Yang traveled to the United States with Yoo between January and February of last year, during which they reportedly smoked marijuana multiple times. Following an investigation into his accomplices, Yang fled to France in April of the same year but voluntarily returned to South Korea through Incheon International Airport on October 28, where he was arrested and detained.

Previously, Yoo Ah-in was indicted in October of last year for habitual drug use and was sentenced to one year in prison along with a fine of 2 million won in September. He was found to have received medical narcotics under the pretense of undergoing cosmetic procedures at various hospitals in Seoul from September 2020 to January 2023, totaling 181 instances. Additionally, from May 2021 to August 2022, he illegally obtained over 1,100 sleeping pills by using different names in 45 prescriptions.
