YouTuber Claims Assault Related to Late Actress Kim Sae-ron's Marriage

A YouTuber, identified as A, who is facing defamation charges related to the late actress Kim Sae-ron, has released audio recordings claiming that a man, who allegedly married Kim during her lifetime in the U.S., assaulted him. On March 20, A uploaded a video titled "Shocking Recording! The Real Reason Kim Sae-ron Suffered" on his channel. The video purportedly contains a phone conversation between a close friend of Kim Sae-ron and a manager from a new agency, not affiliated with Gold Medalist, on the day of her death.

In the recording, Kim's friend, referred to as B, expresses disbelief, asking, "What happened?" to which A responds, "I met her just the day before." When asked about their meeting, A states, "It was fine. We played screen golf and had a meal together."

B then inquires about Kim's trip to the U.S., to which A claims, "It seems to be because of the man she met in America. He was violent towards her. I have photos of the assault. We were in contact until yesterday, and then suddenly this happened."

B mentions that he met the man from the U.S. twice after Kim's return, stating, "He contacted me and cursed at me, but I didn’t respond. I wanted to, but I decided not to for Sae-ron's sake. He kept contacting me from different numbers, cursing me out. I never contacted him; it was just Sae-ron who was very apologetic, saying he threatened her and assaulted her, sending me photos of scars on her neck as proof."

B recalls their initial meeting after Kim returned from the U.S., saying, "I’m not sure about the details, but my friends think she left because of that man. He was verbally abusive and threatening."

Previously, A had uploaded recordings titled "Shocking Exclusive! The Truth Hidden by Kim Sae-ron's Family" and "Shocking! The Truth of the January 8 Marriage Rumor". In these recordings, A claims that Kim married a regular person working for a large company in the U.S. and had a miscarriage. In January, Kim posted a wedding-themed photo with the caption "Marry," which she later clarified was a snapshot with a friend. A insists that Kim was indeed married.

However, the 'Garo Sero Research Institute' (가로세로연구소) countered these claims during a live broadcast, stating that Kim's family had never heard of her marriage. They also mentioned that no one paid her hospital bills, and her manager had to cover 20 million KRW, which they found implausible. The family reportedly requested evidence, expressing their distress over the situation.

As A continues to upload videos regarding Kim's private life, netizens have reacted coldly, questioning the authenticity of the recordings and suggesting that A is trying to divert attention. They have also raised doubts about the legitimacy of B's claims.

Meanwhile, Kim's family has stated that she dated actor Kim Soo-hyun for six years starting at age 15 and has claimed they were pressured by her agency to repay 700 million KRW due to a drunk driving incident. The agency clarified that their relationship began after Kim turned 18, and they were attempting to secure their claims against her. On March 17, Kim's family filed a lawsuit against YouTuber A for defamation and is considering legal action against Kim Soo-hyun's side as well.
