YouTuber Banzz to Delete Channel After Losing MMA Match to Comedian Yoon Hyung-bin

YouTuber Banzz (real name Jung Man-soo), who boasts 2.05 million subscribers, has announced that he will fulfill his promise to delete his YouTube channel after losing a mixed martial arts match against comedian Yoon Hyung-bin. The two had agreed that the loser would delete their YouTube channel, which drew significant attention prior to their bout. Banzz faced Yoon Hyung-bin at the special event of 'Gubne Road FC 073' held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on June 28, where he lost by TKO in the first round.

On June 30, Banzz uploaded his final video on YouTube, stating, "I think many people are unaware of the full context. My dream was to step onto the Road FC stage, and I was fortunate enough to get that opportunity." He continued, "The match with Hyung-bin was contingent on the loser deleting their YouTube channel. I accepted that condition and lost."

Banzz expressed his commitment to keeping his promise, stating, "I have put everything on the line, so I will honor that pledge. This channel is set to be deleted on July 7, one week from now. Since this channel contains everything about me, I need time to process this personally and inform my existing subscribers."

Reflecting on his YouTube journey, he said, "I started this channel in 2013 and have uploaded all my videos over the past 12 years. For me, this channel has been like a diary where I shared my daily life with viewers. Although this channel will be gone, I plan to return to my roots and start anew."

Currently, all content on Banzz's channel, except for the final video, has been set to private. Banzz, a pioneer in the mukbang genre, once amassed 3.2 million subscribers. He made his MMA debut last November at the Fighter 100 competition, where he won his first match against Japan's Katsu by submission in just 2 minutes and 10 seconds of the first round. Following that victory, he expressed his desire to challenge Yoon Hyung-bin, leading to their match.

Yoon Hyung-bin debuted as a comedian with KBS in 2005 and gained recognition as an MMA fighter after winning his debut match against Tsukuda Takaya in 2014. For this fight, Yoon Hyung-bin lost over 11 kg in six months and announced his retirement from the MMA scene following this match.
