YouTuber 쯔양 Makes Triumphant Return on MBC's Radio Star

On July 30, 2025, MBC's entertainment show Radio Star (라디오스타) featured a star-studded lineup including singer Kim Yeon-ja (김연자), comedian Jo Hye-ryun (조혜련), announcer Kim Su-ji (김수지), and popular YouTuber 쯔양. Known as a top figure in the mukbang (eating broadcast) genre, 쯔양 returned with a bright smile, marking her third appearance on the show and surprising everyone with her impressive subscriber count.

Last year, 쯔양 faced a challenging situation that was not her fault, which led to public concern and support from her fans. Thankfully, she has made a healthy comeback. During the show, Jo Hye-ryun greeted her, noting that she had first appeared with 3 million subscribers and now boasts over 10 million. Kim Gu-ra (김구라) expressed his amazement, saying, "Isn't that difficult unless you're an idol?" To which 쯔양 replied, "I can hardly believe it myself. I started with 3 million, then 8 million on my second appearance, and now I have 12.2 million. About 40% of my audience is Korean. If I reach 10 million today, I plan to reveal my diamond play button!"

Unlike the silver and gold buttons awarded for 500,000 and 1 million subscribers, the diamond button comes in a unique box. When the massive suitcase containing the diamond button was revealed, everyone was astonished. 쯔양 opened the case with trembling hands, noting its significant weight. Jo Hye-ryun remarked, "It looks like a lunchbox!" in wonder.

쯔양 also shared insights about her eating habits and expenses, stating, "I only checked one of the three delivery apps I use. My total food expenses for the year were 43 million won. I typically use two apps and have sent over ten messages to delivery drivers. When they arrive, I often have two other meals waiting. Mukbangs lead to higher expenses. Recently, I spent 3 million won on a single meal, which included an 8 kg king crab and a 3-4 kg lobster," shocking everyone with her extravagant dining.

Additionally, 쯔양 revealed that she owns four refrigerators, saying, "My drink fridge empties in just two days!" This left Kim Guk-jin (김국진), known for his modest eating habits, shaking his head in disbelief, while Jo Hye-ryun joked that he might even leave some food behind.

This appearance on Radio Star marks 쯔양's official return to broadcasting after a year. She explained, "I was supposed to appear on Radio Star around June or July last year, but due to circumstances, I had to cancel. I felt sorry for that, so I wanted to come back. This is my first official broadcast in a year. I was thrilled to be invited to Radio Star, especially with such a great lineup. I'm usually shy and not very talkative, but with such eloquent guests, I felt comfortable and excited to join."
