YOUNG POSSE Thrills at Their First MAMA Performance

The K-hip-hop group YOUNG POSSE (영파씨), consisting of members Jeong Seon-hye (정선혜), Wi Yeon-jeong (위연정), Gianna (지아나), Do-eun (도은), and Han Ji-eun (한지은), showcased their talent at the '2024 MAMA AWARDS US' held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on November 21 (local time). Just a year after their debut, the group has made a significant impact across 12 cities in North America, highlighting their growing popularity.

During their performance, all members of YOUNG POSSE took to the stage with handheld microphones, delivering a stunning rendition of 'ATE THAT' that had the audience on their feet. Member Jeong Seon-hye captivated the crowd with her solo freestyle rap during 'Loading Freestyle,' earning explosive reactions with the line, "You can't replicate this live." They also paid homage to Seo Taiji and Boys with their choreography in 'XXL,' showcasing their hip-hop spirit and proving their status as rising stars in the Korean hip-hop scene.

The group's impressive live performance quickly spread across various online platforms, with fans praising their energy and skill. Comments flooded in, with netizens exclaiming, "They didn't just break the stage; they devoured it," and "This is what a live performance should be!" Many expressed their astonishment at how YOUNG POSSE, just a year into their career, has already reached such heights.

Reflecting on their first MAMA experience, YOUNG POSSE shared, "It’s hard to believe we finally performed on a stage we’ve dreamed of. We prepared so hard and enjoyed every moment. Being on the MAMA stage, which I’ve wanted to be on since childhood, still feels surreal. Every second, both on and off stage, was incredibly precious to us."

Looking ahead, they expressed their ambition, stating, "We want to work hard and return next year to receive an award. We will strive to become even more amazing artists to repay our fans who always support us."

Following their successful first North American tour, YOUNG POSSE will continue their busy schedule with their first fan concert, 'THE HUNGRY TOUR - FINAL IN SEOUL,' set to take place on November 29 at the YES24 Wonder Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
