The group YOUNG POSSE is set to deliver a special performance at the '2024 MAMA AWARDS' (MAMA), honoring the legendary K-pop group Seo Taiji and Boys. The event will take place on November 21 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
This marks YOUNG POSSE's first appearance on the MAMA stage since their debut in October of last year. Their rapid rise in popularity has earned them a nomination for the Best New Female Artist category, showcasing their impressive growth in the music industry.
YOUNG POSSE is determined to showcase the allure of K-hip-hop during this performance. Given that the awards ceremony is being held in the heart of hip-hop culture, Los Angeles, the group is preparing a powerful act that incorporates California's vibrant culture, featuring unique local dancers. They will not only pay homage to Seo Taiji and Boys' iconic track 'Come Back Home' but also aim to establish their identity as a group through a freestyle rap performance that tells a compelling story.
With tracks like 'MACARONI CHEESE', 'XXL', and 'ATE THAT', YOUNG POSSE has solidified their status as a prominent figure in the K-hip-hop scene. Their music has gained traction among listeners both domestically and internationally, leading to two trophy wins at major Korean award shows this year. Additionally, their first North American tour, 'THE HUNGRY TOUR', has energized 12 cities across the continent, marking their emergence as a global rookie.
Following their MAMA performance, YOUNG POSSE will hold their first fan concert, 'THE HUNGRY TOUR - FINAL IN SEOUL', on November 29 at the YES24 Wonder Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, where they will connect with their fans.
