Young Man Found Dead in Incheon Waterway, Suspected Alcohol Involvement

A young man in his twenties was discovered dead in a waterway beneath the Si-cheon Bridge along the Gyeongin Ara Waterway in Seo-gu, Incheon, on July 6. According to the Incheon Western Police Station, the body of the unidentified man, referred to as A, was found around 9:20 AM. Emergency services received a report at approximately 5:22 AM regarding a man who had fallen into the water, and after a four-hour search, A's body was recovered. A's friend reportedly informed authorities that he had been intoxicated when he fell into the water. The police plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death. A police spokesperson stated that there are currently no indications of foul play or criminal involvement, but further details regarding the investigation cannot be disclosed at this time.
