Unfortunately, the film was lost during World War II when it was confiscated for military supplies and later incinerated for silver extraction after liberation. The last known screening occurred in Daegu in 1952. Fifteen-year-old cellist Lee Jae-ri (이재리) made history by becoming the youngest winner of the 6th Schoenfeld International String Competition, which concluded on July 23 in Harbin, China. She received a prize of $30,000 and is also noted as the youngest participant in the competition's history.

The Schoenfeld Competition, held every two years since 2013, honors the legacy of American-German violinist Alice Schoenfeld (1921–2019) and cellist Eleanor Schoenfeld (1925–2007). The sisters were instrumental in fostering music exchange between the U.S. and China following the country's reform and opening-up policies in the 1980s. The competition has become a significant platform for Korean string musicians, with past winners including violinists Jo Jin-joo (2013), Song Ji-won (2014), and Kim Bom-so-ri (2016), as well as Cho Jung-min (2023).

Lee Jae-ri graduated from Yewon School and is currently studying at the Korea Arts High School. She made her debut in 2021 at the Kumho Young Artist Concert and is set to enroll as an arts prodigy at the Korea National University of Arts next year.
