Yoon Kye-sang and Jin Sun-kyu Reunite for New Drama 'UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces'

Yoon Kye-sang (윤계상) and Jin Sun-kyu (진선규) are set to star together again in the upcoming ENA drama 'UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces' (UDT: 우리동네 특공대). According to industry insiders, the show will focus on a group of former special forces members who come together not to protect the nation or promote world peace, but solely for the sake of their families and community.

In the series, Yoon Kye-sang will portray Choi Gang, an insurance investigator with a background in the JDD Special Operations Unit, known for his impressive physical abilities and keen insight. Jin Sun-kyu will play Kwak Byeong-nam, a hardware store and stationery shop owner who, after suffering a knee injury during anti-terrorism training, has been serving as the head of the local youth association for 13 years, overseeing recycling efforts in Sangri-dong.

This marks the first time in nearly eight years that Yoon Kye-sang and Jin Sun-kyu will share the screen since their memorable performances in the 2017 film 'The Outlaws' (범죄도시), where they delivered iconic portrayals of villains that helped launch the film series. Yoon Kye-sang was recognized as one of the strongest antagonists, while Jin Sun-kyu gained fame, winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the 38th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his role.

Both actors have showcased their versatility in various projects since then, with Yoon Kye-sang appearing in titles like 'Kidnapping Day' (유괴의 날) and 'In the Woods' (아무도 없는 숲속에서), while Jin Sun-kyu has been seen in 'The Uncanny Counter' (경이로운 소문), 'The Price of Confession' (몸값), and 'Amazon's Revitalizing Medicine' (아마존 활명수). They also have upcoming releases, including 'The Horse' (애마) and 'The Price of Confession' (자백의 대가).

'UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces' is directed by Jo Woong (조웅), known for 'Quiet Sales', and features writer Ban Gi-ri (반기리), who previously worked on 'Missing' (미씽) Seasons 1 and 2.
