Yoo Jae-suk's Absence from 'Infinite Challenge Run with Coupang Play in Busan' Sparks Disappointment

The lineup for 'Infinite Challenge Run with Coupang Play in Busan' has been revealed, and fans are expressing their disappointment over Yoo Jae-suk's absence. Following his non-participation in the Seoul event, Yoo Jae-suk will also not be attending the Busan edition, raising questions about the reasons behind his absence.
On July 10, Coupang Play announced that the first lineup for the event, set to take place on August 30 at 8 PM by the beautiful Gwangalli Beach, includes the beloved 'Infinite Challenge' member Park Myung-soo, along with Jung Jun-ha, Haha, Jeon Jin, Kwanghee, and Nam Chang-hee. These members previously engaged with fans in various roles during the Seoul event held in May.
Jung Jun-ha will continue his 'Jung Jun-ha Camp' by participating in the 10km race in Busan, following his successful completion of the same distance in Seoul alongside his pace partner Yoon Si-yoon. He aims to embody the spirit of 'Infinite Challenge' and create memorable moments in Busan.
Fans are eagerly awaiting additional cast announcements following the initial lineup. The Seoul event featured legendary guests such as 'Halmae' (Yeom Jeong-in), referee Park Moon-ki, and voice actor Si Young-jun.
However, some netizens have voiced their disappointment at the absence of the 'Nation's MC' Yoo Jae-suk. He has been a symbol of 'Infinite Challenge,' a show that significantly contributed to his rise to fame. His absence from both the Seoul and Busan events has left fans feeling let down.
Yoo Jae-suk has recently expressed his affection for 'Infinite Challenge,' stating on 'How Do You Play?' that he felt he didn't want to watch the final episode, suggesting that it didn't feel like a proper conclusion. This year marks the 20th anniversary of 'Infinite Challenge,' making his absence even more poignant for fans who still hold the show dear. The popularity of 'Infinite Challenge' was evident when tickets for the Seoul event sold out within two minutes.
While some fans are puzzled by the absence of key members like Yoo Jae-suk, Jung Hyung-don, and Noh Hong-chul from the 20th-anniversary events, others speculate that scheduling conflicts may be the reason, rather than any discord among the members. The absent members continue to maintain connections with their peers, as evidenced by their interactions during the announcement of the 'Infinite Challenge 20th Anniversary Calendar.'
Despite the disappointment over some members not attending, 'Infinite Challenge Run' promises to offer a variety of activities to celebrate the show's legacy. All participants will receive a limited-edition race pack, and fans can look forward to experiential programs and photo zones that pay homage to iconic episodes of 'Infinite Challenge,' similar to the offerings at the Seoul event.
