In the first week of January 2025, renowned television host Yoo Jae-suk has once again secured the top position in the brand reputation rankings for variety show personalities. According to a big data analysis conducted by the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Yoo Jae-suk ranked first, followed by Jeon Hyun-moo in second place and Shin Dong-yup in third.

The analysis, which covered data from December 4, 2024, to January 4, 2025, evaluated the brand engagement, media presence, consumer interaction, and social media discussions of 50 variety show hosts, totaling 48,591,706 data points. This figure represents a 33.48% decrease compared to the previous month’s data of 73,048,676.

The brand reputation index is derived from extracting brand data and analyzing consumer behavior, categorizing it into participation value, communication value, media value, and social value. The analysis of variety show hosts' brand reputation included participation index, media index, communication index, and community index, along with brand monitoring and value assessment.

The top 30 variety show hosts for January 2025 are as follows: Yoo Jae-suk, Jeon Hyun-moo, Shin Dong-yup, Kim Jong-kook, Tak Jae-hoon, Ahn Jung-hwan, Kim Gura, Kim Jun-ho, Jo Se-ho, Lee Kyung-kyu, Kim Sook, Yang Se-chan, Lee Soo-geun, Seo Jang-hoon, Kim Hee-chul, Kang Ho-dong, Park Na-rae, Defconn, Jang Do-yeon, Cha Tae-hyun, Song Ji-hyo, Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Ji-hye, Hong Hyun-hee, Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, Kim Sung-joo, Ji Suk-jin, Park Myung-soo, and Jung Hyung-don.

Yoo Jae-suk's brand reputation index was calculated at 3,259,673, with a participation index of 412,700, media index of 618,238, communication index of 1,013,233, and community index of 1,215,502. This marks a significant 46.25% decline from December's index of 6,065,031.

Jeon Hyun-moo followed with a brand reputation index of 2,420,584, showing a 20.25% decrease from December's 3,035,081. Shin Dong-yup's brand reputation index was 2,397,769, down 12.94% from 2,754,250 in December.

Kim Jong-kook and Tak Jae-hoon ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, with brand reputation indices of 1,955,373 and 1,642,531, reflecting declines of 54.23% and 35.85% from their previous figures.

Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute's director, Koo Chang-hwan, noted that the analysis revealed a decrease in brand consumption by 8.62%, brand issues by 14.61%, brand communication by 39.09%, and brand spread by 37.17% compared to December.

In terms of link analysis for Yoo Jae-suk, the keywords 'talking', 'humble', and 'cancellation' were prominent, while the keyword analysis highlighted 'You Quiz on the Block (유퀴즈)', 'Pungkyanggo (풍향고)', and 'Running Man (런닝맨)'. The positive-negative ratio for Yoo Jae-suk's brand was analyzed at 84.05% positive.
