Yoo Jae-suk Calls Out Joo Woo-jae for Overspending on Fashion

In the latest episode of MBC's '놀면 뭐하니?' (What Do You Do When You Play?), aired on June 7, 2025, Yoo Jae-suk took a jab at Joo Woo-jae for spending hundreds of thousands of won on clothing. Following the departure of Park Jin-joo and Lee Mi-joo, the show transitioned to a four-member format and featured a segment titled 'Massive Warehouse Sale.'

The production team explained that they planned to sell outfits purchased during a fashion competition, and Yoo Jae-suk agreed, stating, "These are high-priced items, so it's a waste to keep them in storage. They could get damaged." The team mentioned they had already contacted potential buyers.

Yoo Jae-suk then remarked, "We need to invite someone with a good budget," and questioned the price of a leather jacket worn by Chul-woong, which was bought for 2.2 million won. He criticized the excessive spending, saying, "Why do you buy clothes so extravagantly? This is the problem." Joo Woo-jae quickly defended himself, saying, "I said I shouldn't buy it!"

Yoo Jae-suk retorted, "Just because it's not your money, does that mean you can spend it freely?" Lee Yi-kyung chimed in, "It's public funds!" At this point, Haha, who was on the same team, joked, "Chul-woong is just weird. He’s the one to blame!" Joo Woo-jae humorously defended Chul-woong, saying, "He’s my friend!"

Lee Yi-kyung then asked how much they should sell the items for, to which Haha suggested they might fetch a resale price. Joo Woo-jae agreed, noting the brand's quality, while Haha called it a "rare item." Lee Yi-kyung excitedly proposed starting a business, but Yoo Jae-suk cautioned, "It would be strange to mark up prices for rare items. MBC is a public broadcaster."

Joo Woo-jae joked, "Now that we’re starting a business, Yoo Jae-suk is back!" Haha teased, "If you keep this up, you’ll get in trouble." Yoo Jae-suk then suggested they should buy the items at a premium, to which Haha replied, "That should be Chul-woong’s responsibility!" Joo Woo-jae quickly distanced himself from Chul-woong, saying, "That guy is not even my friend!"

Later, as the members prepared to move the clothes to Gangnam for their first customer, Yoo Jae-suk noticed that all of Joo Woo-jae's team’s clothes were high-priced and questioned, "Why did you buy these so expensively?" Joo Woo-jae protested, "I said I shouldn’t! What are you talking about?" To which Yoo Jae-suk pressed, "But why did you buy them? Was it you?" Joo Woo-jae humorously replied, "Chul-woong bought them," adding to the laughter.
