YB's Yoon Do-hyun Struggles with Flu, Cast Change Announced for Musical

Yoon Do-hyun, the lead vocalist of the band YB, recently shared his struggles with the flu on social media, stating, "It's a real fight to survive." Fans expressed their concern with comments like, "Are you okay? Please don't get sick," and "I've heard this flu is really tough; I hope you recover soon."

On January 1, the production company of the musical 'Gwanghwamun Sonata' (광화문연가) announced that Yoon Do-hyun, who plays the role of Myung-woo, would be replaced due to health issues related to type A influenza.

'Gwanghwamun Sonata' tells the story of Myung-woo, who is facing the end of his life, and the fate weaver Wol-ha, who guides him through a journey of cherished memories.

Yoon Do-hyun made his debut in 1994 with the album 'In Front of the Autumn Post Office' (가을 우체국 앞에서) and has produced hits such as 'I Will Forget' (잊을게), 'I Am a Butterfly' (나는 나비), and 'I Think I Loved You' (사랑했나봐). He has been active as YB (formerly known as Yoon Do-hyun Band) since 1996.

Last August, he revealed that he had been battling a rare cancer but recently received a clean bill of health after three years of treatment. He shared on social media that he was diagnosed with cancer during the summer of 2021, just as rehearsals for 'Gwanghwamun Sonata' were beginning. He expressed his shock at the diagnosis and his determination to undergo treatment diligently, attending the hospital every morning despite the challenges.

Throughout his illness, Yoon Do-hyun continued to engage in various activities, including performances, radio shows, and musical theater.
